Transport and Communication Sector Financing

The bank’s main intervention in this sector is to support technically and financially feasible infrastructure projects in the transport and communication segments implemented by SOEs and/or in partnership with the private sector.

This includes infrastructure projects such as;

• Port infrastructure projects; airport terminal infrastructure projects; railway infrastructure projects; strategic roads and bridge infrastructure projects
• Transport equipment; locomotives, marine vessels, aircraft and buses.
• ICT and telecommunication infrastructure projects

Key requirements include;

• Feasibility study or business plan;
• Key technical and engineering project documents
• Specific project agreements such as off-takers, host-government agreement etc;
• Respective statutory and regulatory permits
